How to install a single-hole kitchen faucet with a sprayer

The following steps are going to describe how to install a kitchen faucet with a single hole and a sprayer.

Basically installation process is almost identical to a normal faucet. We suggest consulting with professionals if you are not used to kitchen stuff.

Tools may need an Adjustable wrench, basin wrench, screwdriver, safety glass, or plumbers putty.

Step-1: Before getting started you need to turn off the hot and cold water supply lines before you install a kitchen faucet, these may be located below the sink.

Step-2: If there are three holes in your countertop or sink you need to install a deck plate. Check your product box to see if a deck plate is included with your faucet. Position the deck plate and its gasket over the center mounting hole you don’t need then insert the faucet and hoses shank into the mounting hole.

If there is one hole in your sink feed the hoses and kitchen faucet shank through the spout base gasket and align it to the base of the kitchen faucet then insert the entire assembly into the mounting hole. Make sure the handle is on your right and the spout is facing you. If your sink is less than a half-inch thick install the support bracket and mounting washer for added ability.

But if it is greater than half-inch only install the mounting washer. Underneath your sink slide the support bracket over the hoses and faucet shank. Then slide the mounting washer onto the faucet shank.

Make sure the hoses are in the curve of the washer. Thread the mounting nut onto the faucet extension shank. Make sure when you install a kitchen faucet it is positioned properly. Thread the hose guide nut onto the rough edge of the faucet shank to protect the pull-down hose from rubbing against the edges.

Step-3: The hot supply line which may have a white tag should be connected to the hot water inlet. You need to secure the connection with an adjustable wrench. Don’t make it over-tighten. Now attach the cold side in the same way.

Step-4: Feed the small end of the pullout hose into the faucet spout. Remove the protective cap on the end of the hose. Then slide on the donut-shaped weight. Connect the pullout hose to the faucet with Dura lock quick-connect system. Simply insert the hose into the connector. An audible click sound may indicate a secure connection.

Step-5: Make sure the faucet handle is in the off position. Turn the hot and cold water inlets back on. Position the pullout hose into the sink and turn on the faucet. Let the water run for 15 seconds. This will flush any debris or dirt that might be in the system.

Step-6: Remove the protective cover on the end of the spray wand. Make sure the rubber washer and screen are in place. Thread the spray wand onto the pullout hose. Tighten it with an adjustable wrench just until the hose nut is flush with the wand.
